Summer Plans

29 Apr

I’ve got a list of things to do this summer.

– Get a job.
– Buy new camera. (ha-ha)
– Shakespeare in the Park.
– Edmonton Fringe.
– A 4H horse show.
– Calgary Expo.

Also, I’ve been planning destinations. I only have two so far and they are a distance from my home town, but we will see how it goes.

– Brooks, Alberta – Aqueduct.
– Seebe, Alberta – POW Camp.
– Raley, Alberta – Oldest Wooden Grain Elevator Still on original site in the province of Alberta.

3 days, Attempted Cartwheel

13 Apr

Three days left of classes.

I have 2 one-on-ones so far with two instructors, I’m expecting a third as well. One I’m a bit terrified of, the others not so much. I’m nearly done everything, I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish Thursdays month long thing but I figured that would happen. Cross stitching a 6×7 inch piece in under a month with all the other things going on is a bit of a miracle. Still unsure about presentation but that will come, maybe.

It’s snowing here in Calgary. Which is pretty good, we need the moisture that’s for sure. Very dry spring so far and we’re already well into a 7 year drought.

Not much going down school or life wise. For those interested I may be heading back to Edmonton this summer after all. I sent off a resume for a photo retoucher position at some company, so we will see where that takes us. Seems to be decent cash as well, not that it’s the main thing but it is important.

Side note: I’m sad Banksy is such a sell out. He was cool but now he’s like the new Damien Hirst and I don’t even know what the hell he looks like.

On a more happy note, here is Stephen Merchant attempting a cartwheel. Is it more funny when 6’7″ tall people do a cartwheel?
