I know I don’t post to this a whole lot. But It’s going to be a wee bit less frequent until I get my grandparents house into the 21st century by bringing internet into the house. Until then I will tether to the internet via the iPhone for brief periods of time! Plus following a lot blogs on the ol’ Google Reader is bound to get backed up in a huge hurry and that terrifies me.

Grades were posted today and I did pretty alright. Which I’m happy about. I seem to struggle/not care about my art history courses, I finally passed on first time round. Thank Christ. The subject matter is interesting just not in a 3 hours lecture way of learning it. I’m hoping that this 300 level art history dealing with photography will be more interesting and much more relevant and contemporary. Seeing that photography has been around for maybe 150 years, there isn’t really any 30 000 year old cave photos to be looking at.

Apart from that nothing really going on. I haven’t done anything creative yet this summer. That’s ok. I’m pretty burned out I think. Plus I’ve been busy moving and such. But, I’m hoping to do a lot of sewing and starting to make prototypes of things that LR and I are going to sell in our shop. Fun things will come out of it I’m very sure. Especially with this book:

End Those What-To-Wear Woes!

No more spending more than you can afford on clothes! Chic & Simple Sewing shows you how to make modern, stylish, and fun clothes you’ll want to wear every day. Plus, you’re in control. You pick the fabrics, the cut, the size–all tailored just for you, not mass-manufactured on an assembly line. For about the price of two or three commercial sewing patterns, this book will give you full-size patterns to make the more than 20 garments, including a classic shift, A-line skirt, and figure-flattering wrap dress. What are you waiting for? Your new, one-of-a-kind wardrobe awaits!

I’m really excited to try some of these projects and [hopefully] sell them like crazy. A lot of the shirts and things are really pretty and I think the ladies will love them. I also saw a pattern for a tunic and a pattern for bow ties and neck ties that I’m really tempted to buy, but I’m not sure how “in” bow ties and neck ties are. Regardless I might get it down the line once the store is a bit more established and that.

Anyways, I’m going to get off the tethered internet and play some Sims3.
